Finding Artwork

It’s been a while since I’ve posted, with the Olympics in full swing in my city, everything else was on hiatus. Now that they are over, things are slowly getting back to normal and I am in the midst of completing my week-long detox and trying to get my house back together again after a few weeks of neglect.

I finally tackled my kitchen and had my father put up my wallpaper and I set up my precious little china that my mother handed down to me in my hutch that I repainted.

Here’s a little preview:

It’s not nearly done. I need to put up curtains and also I want to buy a crystal chandelier to hang above the table and most importantly I want to hang artwork. I think this is the hardest part, finding artwork that ties everything together and that is also kitchen appropriate. I really love prints involving animals but it’s just finding the right ones, that is the issue.

Here are a few I like:

Gocco Print Rabbit with Spoons & Dryer Dial by Tricia McKellar (via etsy)

Roosting Print by Angie Pickman (via etsy)

Unicorn Goat Kid “Uniclon” by John Welles Bartlett

I really need to start buying some prints, know of any good websites or artists with reasonably priced prints?

Please let me know!

I love the rabbit print. I buy all my art on Etsy! I just got a few prints for our newly re-done living room, but they are photographs. I’m always looking for more good Etsy art though, so I’ll let you know if I see anything for you.

I am so jealous of your kitchen by the way, just beautiful! I looked into the removable wall paper you suggested, but our walls are all SO big and go SO high that it would be way too expensive for something we will have to get rid of. Boo:(
